DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) -- Pat Porter homered and singled, scoring two runs as the Quad Cities River Bandits topped the Dayton Dragons 12-4 on Thursday.

Hector Roa tripled and doubled with a run and an RBI for Quad Cities.

Trailing 1-0 in the second, Quad Cities went out in front when Anthony Hermelyn hit a three-run home run.

After Quad Cities added two runs, the Dragons cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Nick Senzel hit a three-run home run.

The River Bandits punctuated the blowout with three runs in the sixth and four in the eighth.

Quad Cities starter Matt Bower (4-0) picked up the win despite allowing four runs over six innings. Opposing starter Ty Boyles (2-6) took the loss in the Midwest League game after a rough outing in which he allowed four runs and six hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Senzel homered and singled, driving home three runs for the Dragons.
