ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- A Zanesville man, connected to the burning body found alongside a Morgan County road last month, is at-large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox says 19-year-old Shaquille Davis has been charged with the aggravated murder of 24-year-old Phillip Kimbro Jr., whose corpse was discovered burning near County Road 15 in Morgan County on July 25.
Authorities say evidence collected during a July 29 raid on the Zanesville home where Kimbro was last known to be staying implicated Davis in the crime. Haddox said that an investigation is ongoing, and that additional suspects may be charged.
The investigation was originally being conducted by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, but was handed over to the Zanesville Police Department following the search warrant.
Davis is a black male, 5' 9" tall, weighing 180 pounds, and again - he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call the Zanesville Police Department at 740.455.0700.
