GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio -- The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced a series over overnight ramp closures this week at the Interstate 70-77 interchange.
The ongoing $1.4 million lighting project will result in the night time ramp closures so crews can install new light poles. Each ramp closure will take place between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
On Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20, the I-77 southbound ramp to I-70 west will be closed to traffic. The detour will be I-77 south to (exit 41) SR 209, to I-77 north, then to I-70 west.
On Wednesday, August 21, the I-77 south ramp to I-70 east will be closed. The detour is I-77 south to SR 209 (exit 41), to I-77 north, to I-70 east.
Finally, on Thursday, August 22, the I-70 westbound ramp to I-77 north will be closed. The detour is I-70 west to SR 209 (exit 178) to I-70 east, then I-77 north.
Again, the ramp closures will take place between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
