Chris and Jennifer Rocco opened Cambridge Physical Therapy Center in January of 1999 right here in Cambridge. Neither Chris nor Jennifer is originally from this area and at the time were living and working in Marietta. They decided they would like to open a physical therapy center and had Cambridge in mind as they had passed through here many times on their way home from visiting Chris’ family in the Cleveland area and Jennifer’s family in New Jersey, outside Philadelphia. With both of them born and raised in big cities, they weren’t necessarily looking for a small town, but after visiting and driving around Cambridge many times, they fell in love with our small town, and knew Cambridge was the place they wanted to live and raise a family. “We loved the downtown area, the architecture of the buildings, and of course how beautiful the Courthouse is just blew us away,” Chris said. Jennifer added, “We didn’t know our way around, but it seemed like wherever we drove, we ended up at the park, and we were impressed by its beauty and size for a town the size of Cambridge. And the people here in town, no matter where we ate or visited, were extremely friendly to us, and you can’t beat that about our town. That’s what drew us here.” The Rocco’s designed their business plan around a family owned, independent, physical therapy center, and that is how they have been operating since they began 13 years ago. Cambridge Physical Therapy Center continues to be the only family owned independent physical therapy center in our community.

Cambridge Physical Therapy Center specializes in outpatient physical therapy, including occupational health and sports medicine physical therapy. They provide orthopedic and neurological physical therapy for injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain or conditions, as well as physical therapy for workers’ compensation injuries. Cambridge Physical Therapy Center serves the physical therapy needs of most everyone in your family from kids to senior citizens, and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality physical therapy to our community.

In this day and age of healthcare, many facilities feel they must offer multiple services and cannot specialize in just one service. Cambridge Physical Therapy Center specializes in just one service, and it is reflected in their name. “We are a physical therapy center that specializes in your physical therapy needs for post injury and/or surgery, including work or sports related, as well as chronic and many other conditions, all which can benefit from physical therapy” Jennifer states. Chris adds, “Being the area’s only independent physical therapy center means that we are not affiliated with any hospitals or physicians. We rely solely on the optimal results you receive from our highly qualified and fully licensed staff, headed by Jennifer, our licensed physical therapist. Nobody has more experience in successfully helping you get back to what you need to do, whether it is family, work, and/or athletics, following an injury, surgery, or chronic pain condition.”

Cambridge Physical Therapy Center is a provider for most commercial and private insurances as well as Medicare, Medicaid and Ohio and West Virginia Workers’ Compensation. “Our office staff will work with you to understand your insurance and the benefits you should be receiving. Should you not have insurance, that’s not a problem as we will work with you to set up a budget and payment plan that works for you and us, and that applies to all our patients, whether you have insurance or not,” Chris states. He also adds, “At Cambridge Physical Therapy Center, you are working with our office staff directly, not some billing company or billing department that doesn’t know you. Our office staff will always work hard to limit your out of pocket expense, and with us, we do not require you to pay that money up front.”

Jennifer Rocco and Cambridge Physical Therapy Center are members of The American Physical Therapy Association, The Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Ohio Physical Therapy Association, The Workability Network, and The Ohio Physical Therapy Network. The Rocco’s, even though they are not hometown folks, have ingrained themselves in our community as they are involved or have been involved with many community organizations including The Cambridge Lions Club, The Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, The United Way, Cambridge Schools Levy Campaign, Guernsey Industries, The Cambridge Regional Airport Authority Board, and The Cambridge City Park Board. They also support many other non-profit organizations and activities by continually sponsoring teams, organizations and events.

When you need physical therapy, all you have to do is call Cambridge Physical Therapy Center. It is your choice where you receive your physical therapy, and many insurances don’t require a referral from a physician, so all you have to do is call. Just talk with the many wonderful people and their families who have benefited from the physical therapy they received from Cambridge Physical Therapy Center over the years and you will know that when you need physical therapy, you will want to call Cambridge Physical Therapy Center. “We are a family owned business and our patients do become like family to us, and we enjoy that, because physical therapy is not just about the physical, but also about the emotional. We want our patients to not only physically get better, but also emotionally feel better coming to us” Jennifer says. Should you want to talk with Jennifer about the benefits of physical therapy, just call her, and if necessary, she will be glad to set up a consultation with you to see if physical therapy would benefit you. Physical therapy consultations at Cambridge Physical Therapy Center, as they always have been since they opened 13 years ago, are always free of charge and not limited to any certain days or restrictions.
